1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, or placing an order on www.rootish.in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy.

These Terms constitute a legally valid contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 between the customer and SHANTHI ENTERPRISES (brand: ROOTISH™). You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a contract to purchase from our store.

3. Customer Accounts & Profile Management

• OTP Authentication: Accounts are registered and accessed using secure One-Time Passwords (OTP) delivered to your verified mobile number.
• Profile Updates: You may edit and update your personal details — including full name, email address, password, and delivery address — at any time through your account profile tab.
• Account Confidentiality: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Rootish will never call or message asking for your login OTP or UPI PIN.

4. Products, Pricing & Food Safety Compliance

• Perishable Superfoods: All products (Chia seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Sunflower seeds, Flax seeds, and pantry varieties) are edible food-grade agricultural produce, rigorously cleaned and sealed at our FSSAI-licensed facility in Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu.
• Dietary Supplement Disclaimer: Our seed varieties are offered as natural dietary superfoods and are not intended to diagnose, treat, mitigate, or cure any disease. Dietary advice on the platform is educational in nature.
• Pricing & Taxes: All product prices displayed on the store are denominated in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless explicitly indicated otherwise.

5. Orders, Cancellations & Pre-Dispatch Window

• Order Confirmation: An order is confirmed once successful payment is authorized or COD verification is received. A confirmation receipt with item details is immediately sent via WhatsApp and Email.
• Cancellation Policy: Orders can be cancelled free of charge strictly prior to dispatch (within 2 hours of placement directly from your Order page or by contacting 24/7 WhatsApp support).
• Post-Dispatch Ineligibility: Once a parcel is handed over to our courier partner (DTDC Courier) and an AWB consignment number is generated, cancellations cannot be accepted. Any post-delivery issues are governed strictly by our 24-hour return/refund policy.

6. Shipping, Logistics & Delivery Partner (DTDC Courier)

• Exclusive Courier: All domestic deliveries and reverse return pickups are fulfilled exclusively via our national logistics partner, DTDC Courier.
• Free Shipping Threshold: Pan-India shipping is 100% Free on all orders valued at ₹599 and above. A nominal flat shipping charge of ₹49 applies to orders below ₹599.
• Live Tracking: Customers receive real-time DTDC tracking links via WhatsApp and inside their customer order dashboard upon dispatch.

7. Return, Replacement & 24-Hour Appeal Deadline

Claims for taste preference, change of mind, opened/consumed products, or claims filed after 24 hours are non-eligible under FSSAI food hygiene standards.

8. Doorstep Reverse Pickup & UPI Refund Settlements

• Doorstep Reverse Pickup by DTDC: For approved replacements, DTDC Courier is scheduled to pick up the package directly from your delivery address. Reverse pickup milestones are tracked live in your order dashboard.
• Exclusively UPI Refunds: All approved refunds are processed strictly via direct UPI transfer to your provided UPI ID within 24–48 hours of verification.
• 12-Digit UTR Notification: The official bank UTR reference number is immediately shared on WhatsApp for customer verification.

9. Intellectual Property

The ROOTISH™ brand name, logos, packaging artwork, website design, product photographs, and text content are the exclusive intellectual property of SHANTHI ENTERPRISES. Any unauthorized reproduction, scraping, copying, or commercial exploitation is strictly prohibited under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Indian law, SHANTHI ENTERPRISES shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the products or platform. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising out of an order is strictly capped at the total amount paid by the customer for that specific order.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute, proceeding, or litigation arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of rootish.in shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Erode District / Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu.
